4 TE Linear Cable Engine

This is a horizontal linear cable engine system for the handling of flexible pipe, umbilicals, cables and steel pipe from 20mm to 325mm diameter. The wheel grip force is applied by hydraulic cylinders attached to each wheel group. 

The system has an integrated electric hydraulic power unit. The unit can be operated locally from manually controlled valves, although the primary control and instrumentation is provided on a remote control station. The control panel displays information on grip pressure, system pressure, distance and tension. Optional external LCD display unit available. Various alarm modes may be set as required.

This is a hydraulic power unit (HPU). It is designed to provide power to hydraulic equipment such as winches. The unit is fitted with a hydraulic, pressure compensated, piston pump. This is driven by a fixed speed electric motor. The reservoir, electric motor, pump, hydraulic pipe work, valves and all filters are all housed within a crash frame.
