Geotechnical surveys are moving towards very deep waters. To provide operators with the best possible Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) equipment for these unique challenges, Geomil Equipment have developed the Manta-100 series. The Manta-100DW  is suitable for any project in Deep Water (DW), up to 1,500 m 

Main characteristics of the Manta-100:  

• Operated with a single umbilical for hoisting, power transmission and communication 
• Modular system weight 3,5 - 12 tons 
• Variable penetration speed 0 - 45 mm/s 
• Variable retraction speed 0 - 80 mm/s 
• Thrust capacity 0 - 100 kN  
• Real-time CPT data at surface 
• Basic setup transportable in a 20 ft sea container 

The standard turn-key Manta-100 package consists of the following components:

• Seabed base frame with continuous drive system (CDS)
• Submersible power pack with PTO function
  • standard skirt
• Surface control and data acquisition unit 

The Manta-100 is also by far the most compact system in its class, measuring just 1,500 x 1,500 x 1,600 mm (L x W x H) when being transported.
