Details
Hydraulic Winch with 1.7 Te working load limit and 160m capacity available for sale (Ref.: DS14)
The winch barrel is mounted directly onto the outer, toothed, face of a vertically mounted slew-ring bearing. The inner ring of the bearing has been mounted onto a common fixed deck pedestal. A toothed pinion drives the outer ring of the bearing and thus turns the Winch barrel in either direction. The pinion is fitted to the output shaft of a multi-stage planetary gearbox, the gearbox has been fitted with a hydraulically actuated spring applied failsafe brake unit and an open loop orbital low speed hydraulic motor.
Dynamic braking is achieved via a load control valve mounted directly onto the hydraulic motor. Static braking is via the failsafe brake unit fitted in between the hydraulic motor. The brake, being failsafe, always defaults to on should, for any reason, electrical supply is lost or the control joystick is in its center position. The winch barrel is not supported at the non-drive side and as such the provision for the slip ring is made at either end of the winch barrel.
